Learning to connect

Communications Representative Frank Saptel spent 3 days in Edmonton on a training mission. IAMAW members Barb Makey, Glenn Killips, Leo Manrique &  Lori Fairbrother took part in the WordPress course at the District 14 Office October 3 – 5, 2017.

The valuable learning tools Frank provided will assist us in updating/rebuilding our Local Lodge 1722 Webpage. We look forward to connecting with fellow IAMAW members to keep the webpage updates fresh & current.

Canada’s unions welcome plans to start closing tax loopholes


Canada’s unions are welcoming the federal government’s plan to close tax loopholes for very high-income earners, saying it’s an important first step toward bringing more fairness to Canada’s tax system.

“Today’s tax rules make it possible for someone earning $300,000 to save more on their taxes than the average Canadian worker makes in a year, and that is fundamentally unfair,” said CLC president Hassan Yussuff. Continue reading

Learning to connect

The grand lodge web trainer frank is in our district office at 10471-178 st to do web training Those in attendence are Barb district office admin secretarty , Lori from Wajax Equipment , leo from LL 2734 and myself Glenn from the retirees association . This morning we are all learning how to load and properly use programs to load new posts and pages to our respective web pages . this training is taking place Oct 3, to Oct 5 2017 . During the course of the three day training session we all desire a new and differnt look for our web page . For all those that look at our web page ,thank you for your partipation .
